Since the founding in 1967 in Stockholm, Marc O’Polo is known for high-end clothing and fabrics with a natural feel of tangible quality. After designing two contrasting collections of bathroom accessories Studio TOIMII was asked to develop a full tableware collection, including plates, bowls, mugs, serving plates, a tea pot and corresponding glassware.

From the analyses of the brand’s heritage, identity and values, we started from a direction of repetitive patterns and tactile materials. With the multiple materials we used in both bathroom accessories collections, we introduced a wooden serving lid that doubles as a cutting board, accompanying the stoneware and glass items. By designing a variety of items with various materials and a repetitive ridged pattern, we created a versatile yet minimalist tableware collection, with an open and friendly feeling.

The collection consists of various mugs, plates and bowls, a serving bowl with wooden serving lid/cutting board, a tea pot, mouth blown tumblers, carafe and wine glasses. With a minimalist design and a matt glazing, subdued colour palette, we developed Moments as a timeless tableware collection of classical pieces, bringing a soft, intimate ambience to the table.
